Locations
Where your storygets to breathe
One of the most common questions I get is, “Where should we have our session?” And honestly? That’s one of my favorite conversations to have. The right location doesn’t just make beautiful photos — it makes the whole experience feel easier, more natural, and more like you.
I scout and select every location I work with throughout Connecticut — particularly in Middlesex, Hartford, and New London counties — with real families in mind. Somewhere kids can actually move, parents can actually breathe, and the light does the heavy lifting.
Hurd State Park
MiddlesexWooded trails, dramatic river bluffs overlooking the Connecticut River, and natural light that filters through the trees in the most cinematic way. One of my all-time favorite spots for families who love the outdoors.
Wadsworth Falls
MiddlesexA hidden gem with a gorgeous waterfall, open meadow, and shaded forest paths. The variety of backdrops in one location makes it incredibly versatile — and families love the sense of adventure it brings out.
Harbor Park, Middletown
MiddlesexSweeping river views, open green spaces, and a relaxed waterfront atmosphere that photographs beautifully at golden hour. Great for families who want something a little more open and airy.
Airline State Park Trail
MiddlesexA quiet, scenic rail trail with open meadows and dappled tree canopy. Low foot traffic makes it ideal for relaxed, unscripted sessions where everyone can settle in and just be themselves.
Elizabeth Park
HartfordHome to one of the oldest municipal rose gardens in the country, Elizabeth Park is lush, romantic, and full of texture. Perfect for families, couples, or motherhood sessions that call for something a little more garden-soft.
Lyman Orchards
HartfordRolling farmland, apple orchards, sunflower fields — Lyman Orchards shifts with the seasons and always delivers something beautiful. One of the most requested locations for mini sessions and seasonal shoots.
Talcott Mountain State Park
HartfordDramatic ridge views, open sky, and a trail lined with mature trees that turn spectacular in fall. Worth every step for families who want photos that feel genuinely expansive and a little wild.
Middle Beach
New LondonA quieter stretch of Connecticut shoreline with soft sand, beach grass, and that wide-open coastal light that makes everything feel a little more golden. Great for families who want the beach without the midday chaos.
Rocky Neck State Park
New LondonCrescent beach, salt marshes, and wooded trails all in one place. Rocky Neck has incredible variety — you can move from the shoreline to shaded forest in minutes. A go-to for families who want it all.
Mystic & Stonington Borough
New LondonHistoric waterfronts, weathered architecture, and a classic New England character that never photographs the same way twice. Wonderful for families, couples, or anyone who wants something with a sense of place and story.
Not sure which location is right for you?
That’s completely normal — and it’s one of the first things we’ll figure out together. Once you inquire, I’ll help you find a spot that fits your family’s energy, the season, and the kind of session you’re dreaming of. Sessions available April through December throughout Middlesex, Hartford, and New London counties.
