A Little About How I Work
I got my start in
wedding photography.
Before I built my family and couples work, weddings were where I learned to photograph people — really photograph them. How to read a room, anticipate a moment, find light in a dark reception hall, and stay invisible while something irreplaceable is happening.
That foundation never left. My approach to weddings is the same as everything else I do: documentary first, honest always, and nothing posed that doesn’t need to be. You’ll have your formals and your family photos — but the images you’ll treasure are the ones where nobody was thinking about the camera.

The exhale when you finally see each other. The way your grandmother laughs during the toasts. The quiet five minutes after the ceremony. These are the images you’ll look at in 30 years — and I’m trained to find them before they disappear.
Your portraits, without the stiffness
Formals and couple portraits are part of every wedding — but I keep them efficient and easy. You’ll never feel like you’re performing. My goal is that your portraits feel like the best version of how you actually look at each other.
Light, always
I plan portrait timing around the light — golden hour whenever possible, and the kind of attention to ambient light that makes reception images feel cinematic rather than flash-lit. Every venue has beautiful light somewhere. I find it.
Someone you’ll enjoy having around
Your photographer is with you for 8+ hours on one of the most emotionally charged days of your life. I take that seriously. I’m calm, unobtrusive, and I make people laugh — which also makes for better photos.

Things couples always ask
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book 8–14 months out, especially for peak season (May–October). Reach out even if your date is coming up — I occasionally have openings for short-notice bookings.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes. No travel fee within 50 miles of East Hampton, CT. Destination weddings and out-of-state coverage are available — reach out and we’ll work out the details.
Will we get posed portraits as well as candids?
Absolutely. Every wedding includes your formal family portraits, bridal party photos, and couple portraits. I keep the posed portion efficient and relaxed so you can get back to your day.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes — a 50% retainer holds your date. Installment plans are available; just ask.
What if we want an engagement session too?
I love engagement sessions — they’re a great way for us to work together before your wedding day. Ask about bundling one with your package.
What if the weather is bad on our wedding day?
We plan for it. I scout indoor alternatives, adapt the portrait timeline, and find the shots regardless of weather. Rain can also make for the most dramatic and beautiful images.
