A Feature That Means More Than Recognition
When I first picked up a camera, I never set out to be published. I wasn’t chasing features or recognition. Yet, here is Kassandra Lee Photography featured in a way I never anticipated. What I wanted was feeling. Something honest and lasting. Stories that felt real, made people pause, and stayed with them long after the moment had passed.
That’s still the heart of Kassandra Lee Photography today. And that’s why this feature means so much.
A Maternity Moment, Published in Print
One of my images was recently published in The Photograp[her] Magazine, a beautifully curated space that celebrates women in the photography industry. The image selected is a maternity portrait that holds so much quiet emotion and natural connection. It was taken by the river, under a moody evening sky, where this couple stood together, fully present in the moment, awaiting their next chapter.
It Was Never About the Pose
This wasn’t a highly styled, posed shot. It wasn’t about the perfect smile or perfect light. This moment was about presence and about what they were truly feeling right then and there. That’s the kind of connection I aim to capture in every session. It’s wonderful to see Kassandra Lee Photography included among talented photographers.

Why This Image Matters So Much
When I saw the photo printed in the magazine, it stopped me. Because it wasn’t just a photo. It was everything I’ve worked to build my business around. Rawness. Emotion. Intention. A bit of wild beauty. The kind of image that doesn’t need a caption to make you feel something.
A Personal Milestone as a Photographer and Mother
As a single mother and a fulltime photographer, being featured in a national publication isn’t just exciting. It’s deeply personal. It’s proof that doing things your own way, building a business around what matters most, and staying true to your voice does pay off. Even when it’s hard. Even when you’re unsure if anyone sees the work you’re pouring your heart into.
This Is the Work That Stays With You
This photo represents more than a moment. The ones that happen inbetween the chaos of parenthood and preparation. The kind that feel soft, slow, and entirely real.
Thank You for Being Part of This
I want my clients to look back and remember how they felt in these seasons of life. Not just how they looked. That’s why my sessions are built around connection. That’s why I guide with care and never rush.
To every client who’s stepped in front of my lens, to everyone who’s referred a friend, or followed along quietly cheering me on — thank you. This feature is as much yours as it is mine.
